CONSULTANT IN LIAISON PSYCHIATRY

Permanent, full time, 10 Programmed Activities per week plus on-call (part time may be considered).

South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the all-age Mental Health Liaison Team based at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Gawber Road, Barnsley, S75 2EP. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the Psychiatric Liaison Team.

The starting salary for this post is aligned with point 04 of the consultant pay scale (£119,490 - £145,478), in line with Trust policy for newly appointed consultants. Placement on the scale will be reviewed where applicable NHS consultant experience can be evidenced.

• MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.

Experience and Skills

• Excellent knowledge in specialty.

Eligibility

• Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
• Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Liaison and/or Adult Psychiatry OR within six months of gaining CCT.
• Approved clinician status.
• Approved under S12.

Desirable

• In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.

Transport

• Desirable: Holds and will use valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
