Permanent opportunity in Wrexham
Working hours: 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Thurs and 8am - 2:30pm Friday.

The Role:
A global manufacturing leader is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join its CI team, leading improvement projects that drive cost reduction and performance improvement. The role will also be responsible for controlling and validating production process changes, investigating process-related issues to identify root causes, developing corrective action plans, and supporting the effective execution of improvement activities. Responsibilities of the Continuous Improvement Engineer:
Review site-wide flow and workplace organisation, recommending improvements to layout, 5S, and efficiency.
Control and validate process changes using PPAP and formal change management methods.
Support production teams in achieving operational KPIs and business targets.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, DMAIC).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver process improvements and drive world-class manufacturing standards.
Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
Identify and implement best practices to support continuous improvement across the site.
The Candidate:
The successful Continuous Improvement Engineer will have the following skills and abilities:
Proven experience delivering Lean manufacturing in a fast-paced component manufacturing or high-complexity batch environment.
HND (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline, or substantial relevant industry experience.
Track record of delivering continuous improvement projects using recognised CI tools.
Strong experience in data collection, analysis, and performance reporting.
Effective collaboration across functions including Engineering, Production, and Quality.
Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET/PTLLS) or equivalent desirable.
Formal qualifications in Lean and project management (e.g. Six Sigma, PRINCE2, Agile) desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Minitab desirable.
