Embedded DevOps Engineer (Contract)

Glasgow | 3 days onsite | 12 months | Up to £80ph Inside IR35

We’re hiring for a Contract DevOps Engineer to support a growing engineering team working on embedded software and connected hardware systems.

This is a hands-on role focused on CI/CD, build and release pipelines, tooling, and test infrastructure for embedded products.

What you’ll be doing

• Improving and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for embedded software delivery
• Working with GitHub Actions across build, test, release, and deployment
• Supporting build, packaging, artifact management, and release processes
• Helping improve tooling following a Jenkins to GitHub migration
• Supporting testing and deployment across hardware rigs / Raspberry Pi environments
• Working closely with Software, QA, and Hardware teams

What we’re looking for

• Strong DevOps / Build & Release background
• Experience in embedded systems, firmware, or electronics-based environments
• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions
• Experience with CI/CD, build tooling, and release pipelines
• Good automation / scripting capability
• Understanding of HIL / hardware-based test environments would be a big advantage
• Exposure to AWS is beneficial
