Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer to support defence-based programmes, delivering reliability, maintainability and supportability analysis in line with UK Defence Standards and customer requirements. This is a technically focused role suited to engineers who enjoy working at the interface of design, support, and lifecycle performance — influencing product decisions through structured analysis and evidence-based recommendations.
Key Responsibilities Deliver ILS activities in accordance with Defence Standard 00-600 and customer specifications. Conduct Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) analysis in line with Defence Standard 00-40. Identify high-cost or high-risk supportability drivers within product designs and recommend practical engineering improvements. Assess and improve product reliability performance through structured analysis and modelling. Evaluate maintainability characteristics to ensure compliance with customer operational expectations. Populate and maintain the Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR). Contribute to ILS plans for tender and proposal submissions. Deliver work packages to agreed cost, schedule and quality requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience Engineering Degree (or equivalent experience). Practical experience in ILS, Reliability and Maintainability engineering within a defence or regulated environment. Working knowledge of defence standards, support concepts and military operating environments. Experience using tools such as Windchill (RELEX), OmegaPS, OPUS10, SIMLOX or equivalent ILS/R&M software. Familiarity with MSV military shelter systems (desirable). Understanding of Quality Management Systems and configuration control principles. Awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental legislative requirements.
