Job Description

Contracts Manager | £85,000 | London | M&E Contractor (Decarbonisation / Plant Replacement) | Permanent

We are working with one of the UK’s most respected M&E contractors: a business that blends tradition and technical excellence with a real push for innovation. Right now, they are on the hunt for a Contract Manager to join their team in London, with a focus on plant replacement, commercial refurb, and decarbonisation schemes.

The work

This is high-profile, future-focused stuff across the capital - helping clients upgrade their assets, lower their emissions, and meet their ESG goals without compromising on performance.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of MEP contracts - typically in the £1–5m range - managing both mechanical and electrical packages from pre-start through to completion.

These are often live environments within complex, occupied commercial buildings, so you will need to be calm, organised, and confident navigating stakeholder pressures.

What sets this role apart is the integration. You won’t be stuck in a silo. You will work hand-in-hand with the construction delivery teams, developing programmes, resolving challenges, and making sure both the services and the structure work in sync.

What’s needed?

  • Direct, proven experience managing full MEP contracts - not just one discipline.
  • A track record of delivering plant replacement or decarbonisation upgrades in commercial settings.
  • Confidence overseeing subcontractors, programmes, cost control and client relationships.
  • A collaborative mindset - someone who sees the value in working closely with main contractors and construction leads, not just internally.

The role is London-based, with sites across the capital. Salary is pitched around £85,000, with a strong overall package.
