We are currently looking for an experienced Senior or Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer on a freelance basis to join a well-established, award-winning building services consultancy in Stockport.

This consultancy is recognised for delivering innovative, sustainable MEP design across healthcare, commercial, and public sector projects , and is at the forefront of net zero and low-carbon building design . They are seeking a highly skilled freelance engineer to support high-profile projects , lead design teams, and provide expert guidance across multiple complex projects .

The Role As a freelance Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer , you will take responsibility for delivering mechanical building services projects of varying scale, from specialist schemes to major developments over £100m .

Key responsibilities include: Leading the mechanical design and delivery of projects across healthcare, commercial, and public sectors Acting as a client-facing technical lead , advising on both commercial and technical matters Mentoring and guiding
