Contracts Manager – Groundworks\nLocation: Offices' in Northamptonshire / Leicestershire (travel to sites as required)\nSalary: £65,000 to £95,000 (DOE) + Van + Fuel Card + Benefits\nImmediate start available for the right person\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\nAn excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to work within a Groundworks and growing civil engineering company. You’ll oversee multiple sites, enjoy autonomy, a supportive team, and strong job security within a company that’s expanding rapidly with a turnover set to rise by an additional £2 million next year.\n\nAbout the Company\nThis established groundworks specialist operates from offices in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire, running 6 - 7 active sites at any time and employing around 50 skilled staff. With over 30 years of combined experience, the company delivers high-quality groundworks across commercial, residential and retail groundworks.\n\nThey pride themselves on safety, quality, efficiency and reliability.

All staff are trained to industry standards (CSCS, CPCS, SSSTS, SMSTS, NPORS) and the company maintains a strong reputation with major nationwide developers.\n\nThe Role - Contracts Manager Groundworks\nYou’ll take charge of multiple groundworks projects from start to finish, managing teams, budgets and client expectations while ensuring all work is delivered safely, on time and to specification. You’ll spend part of the week visiting sites and the rest in the office, ensuring smooth delivery and communication across all projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Manage several groundworks sites across commercial and residential sectors\n\n * \n\n Oversee budgets, programmes and client liaison\n\n * \n\n Ensure projects meet quality, safety and cost objectives\n\n * \n\n Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings\n\n * \n\n Coordinate site teams and subcontractors\n\n * \n\n Work closely with operations and finance teams\n\n * \n\n Prepare and review project documentation and reports\n\n * \n\n Maintain and develop strong client relationships\n\n * \n\n Support continuous improvement and company growth\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Excellent understanding of all aspects of groundworks\n\n * \n\n Strong leadership and communication skills\n\n * \n\n Very Computer literate\n\n * \n\n Willing to travel to sites\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence\n\nPackage\n\n * \n\n Salary up to £95,000 (depending on experience)\n\n * \n\n Company van and fuel card\n\n * \n\n Long-term work pipeline and progression potential\n\n * \n\n Supportive management team and stable environment
