This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for overseeing up to 3 projects at any one timeWorking closely with the Head of SHEQ to ensure the highest standards of safety, updating on environmental issues, and ensuring qualityManaging and supporting the Project Managers on each of your projects, providing guidance to ensure delivery excellenceProviding thorough commercial and programme supportWorking with the Bid team, leading bid activity to produce tenders for projects within the Energy DivisionLeading innovation and compliance on all contractsWorking closely with the commercial team, designers, planners, and site teamsClient interface; attending regular meetings with the client and reporting on design and project completion timelinesEffective monthly reporting to the Framework ManagerBackground/skills & qualificationsBEng/HND in Civil EngineeringA minimum of 2 years of working in a Contracts Manager roleWorking knowledge of NEC suite of contractsA proven track record of securing and delivering large civil engineering projectsCSCS cardFull UK Driving Licence & willing to travel to project sitesA background of delivering projects within a substation environment would be advantageous but not essentialDesired Qualifications/SkillsChartered membership of a relevant professional institution is desirableBEng in relevant engineering discipline (civil, mechanical, electrical) is essentialExcellent written and verbal communication skills are essentialFull driving licence is essentialAbout TrantTrant Engineering Ltd has a long history of engineering and construction excellence, delivering high quality EPC engineering and construction services throughout the UK and overseas.
