With over 35 years’ experience in retail, commercial, industrial installations and refurbishments, the Company has built a strong reputation for quality, efficiency and service.\n\nAs part of our expansion programme we are currently looking to recruit experienced:\n\nCONTRACTS MANAGER – Internal Fit Out\n\nLocation: Head Office Peterborough – Projects throughout UK & Ireland\n\nHours: Full Time – Monday - Friday\n\nSalary: £65,000 + p.a - Dependent on Experience\n\nPension: Workplace Company Pension Scheme\n\nVehicle: A Company Vehicle or Allowance will be offered\n\nOur Company prides itself on high standards, professionalism and quality of project delivery. Working with numerous high profile clients, we are looking for experienced Contract Managers who have a can do attitude that’s proven within the shopfitting or internal fit out sector.\n\nKey Accountabilities:\n\n * Organise and control direct or sub-contract labour.\n\n * Organise and control materials and products.\n\n * Control and ensure that projects are managed in a safe environment.\n\n * Formulate programmes to reflect the contract period and monitor to ensure the targets are met and prepare progress reports for meeting minutes etc.\n\n * Control costs, keeping records of site variations, reporting back to the Account Manager / QS / Estimator.\n\n * Be responsible for profit margin by effective use of labour, rationalising and improving methods of working.\n\n * Manage all aspects of site Health & Safety.\n\n * Attend site meetings and briefings, pre-start, in progress and upon completion, report back to the Account Manager the content of such meetings.\n\n * A strong passion and aptitude for getting the job done (but not at any cost)\n\n * Possess good communication skills.\n\n * Ensure all work areas & equipment within your control are regularly and properly maintained and suitable for use.\n\n * Ensure that teams are properly trained and managed to work in a safe, quality conscious and effective way, encouraging the medium / long term development of the team members.\n\n * Set clear and comprehensive expectations, confront obstacles and provide meaningful and timely feedback.\n\n * Manage employee relations issues to ensure discipline, and high standards of work and attendance at all times.

Undertaking performance management activities as and when required.\n\n * Build and maintain positive working relationships within the business, ensuring communications are always effective.\n\n * Ensure safe working practices are in place and all incidents, accidents and observations are investigated and actions put in place to eliminate or mitigate reoccurrence.\n\nPersonal Specification & Qualities:\n\n * Experience within in the shopfitting or internal fit-out industry is essential.\n\n * A full, valid driving licence.\n\n * High degree of personal motivation and ability to work on own initiative.\n\n * Commercial acumen and be financially astute.\n\n * Ability to work as part of a close knit management team and manage numerous activities simultaneously.\n\n * Willing to travel and have a flexible “can do” attitude towards all aspects of the role.\n\n * Maintain accountability for the projects\n\n * Happy to integrate yourself into the Company’s current operating processes.\n\n * Have the desire to want to grow with the Company with the ambition to take on more responsibility.\n\n * Experience supervising site operatives\n\n * IPAF / PASMA (desirable).\n\n * Willing to learn and adapt to site specifics.\n\nPlease apply with CV – only experienced people need apply for this role
