Remuneration: £51,000 + performance-related bonus

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of contracts, ensuring outstanding service delivery, strong commercial performance, and long-term client satisfaction.

This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate across multiple functions, balancing operational delivery with commercial strategy. You'll play a key part in driving efficiencies, supporting growth, and maintaining high standards across all contractual obligations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate tender submissions and bid activity
  • Manage contract performance against KPIs and SLAs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners
  • Support commercial activities including material sales and logistics coordination
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives
  • Produce detailed reports to support operational and commercial decision-making
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Spot and develop new commercial opportunities
  • Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and high performance
  • Represent the business at industry events when required

About You

Essential:

  • Proven experience in contract or account management
  • Background within waste, recycling, or a related sector
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Commercially aware with a proactive mindset
  • Strong written and reporting skills with attention to detail
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office and digital systems
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience managing logistics or haulage operations
  • Exposure to commercial portfolios or P&L responsibility
  • Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent) preferred
