Job Title: Contracts Manager (Flooring - Nationwide Projects)
Location: Manchester (projects nationwide)
Salary: Negotiable up to £45,000 + Company Car + Bonus Scheme
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Holiday: 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

An established and highly respected hard flooring contractor, recognised as one of the UK's leading specialists, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join its growing management team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business delivering prestigious and technically diverse flooring projects across the country.


The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing flooring contracts nationwide, delivering high-quality solutions across a broad range of flooring systems. You will ensure projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key flooring systems you will oversee include:

  • Terrazzo, marble, and granite

  • Ceramic tiling

  • Permafloor and other specialist screeds

  • MMA and epoxy resin systems

  • Vinyl and resilient flooring

Core responsibilities include:

  • Managing and delivering multiple flooring contracts across the UK

  • Supervising labour and delegating tasks effectively

  • Controlling project financial budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for money

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and workforce

  • Ensuring accurate coordination between site teams and internal departments

  • Researching and responding to evolving market trends

  • Travelling nationwide to project sites, with occasional overnight stays

This role requires a flexible and professional approach to work and hours, reflecting the demands of nationwide project delivery.


Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in contract management, ideally within flooring or specialist construction environments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organisational, planning, and prioritisation capabilities

  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team

  • Commercial awareness and budget management experience

  • People management and staff supervision skills

  • Technical proficiency across a range of flooring systems

  • Competence with IT systems and project software

  • Professionalism, confidence, flexibility, and initiative

  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills

  • Energy, resilience, and the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment
