Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + car allowance

Role Description
The purpose of this role is to lead the installation, integration, and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) and metering solutions across a variety of projects. The role ensures seamless system performance through effective retrofitting, configuration, and technical integration, with a strong emphasis on platforms such as Trend, Tridium, and RDM. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the Control Engineer will deliver innovative and practical solutions that optimise building performance and provide measurable value to clients.
Principle Responsibilities
BMS Installation and Retrofitting
- Lead the installation and retrofitting of BMS focusing upon client satisfaction.
- Implement system upgrades and modifications to enhance overall performance.
- Integrate BMS with various differing control systems, including mainly Trend, Tridium and RDM.
- Ensure seamless communication and interoperability among diverse control platforms.
- Interfacing with MODbus, Mbus and BACnet systems to third-party equipment, using MQTT, JSON and
API’s where appropriate.
Commissioning:
- Execute commissioning activities to validate the functionality and efficiency of installed BMS.
- Liaise with clients throughout project delivery using appropriate methods.
- Collaborate with project teams to address any integration challenges during commissioning.
- Contribute to the maintenance and optimisation of diverse BMS across multiple projects.
Technical Support:
- Work on-site across various locations in the country to oversee installation, integration, and
commissioning activities.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Produce comprehensive maintenance and site survey reports.
- Keep the office informed about site progress, particularly on fit-out projects.
Health and Safety:
- Follow ETS company policies and procedures at all times;
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure
of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager.
Timesheet Management
- Ensure timely submission of weekly timesheets to facilitate accurate project tracking.
- Maintain meticulous records of hours worked and project-related activities.
From time to time the job holder may be required to undertake additional responsibilities commensurate with their role and capabilities, that are not specifically referenced above.
Skills & Experience
The following attributes are essential:
- Strong electrical knowledge and sound understanding of M&E systems, including fault finding.
- BMS experience with Trend, Tridium, or RDM; competent in cause & effect matrices, specifications, and
commissioning.
- Ability to create graphical representation of the installed BMS solution.
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
The following attributes are desirable:
- MEWP licence
- Working knowledge of Distech or Innotech control system.
Qualifications
- HNC or degree in building services or electrical engineering.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and
internal stakeholders.

- Willingness to undertake frequent travel within the UK and occasionally overseas.
- Competent in maintaining the Company and client H&S standards at all times.
