We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Controls Engineer to join a modern, high-tech FMCG manufacturing site in Derbyshire.

You will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and improving the site's control systems, supporting electrical maintenance activities, and carrying out fault-finding on a range of automated and semi-automated production machinery.

Your focus will be on maximising uptime, driving efficiency, and supporting ongoing automation projects across the factory.

This is a Monday to Friday rotating days and afternoons role, offering excellent work-life balance alongside exposure to cutting-edge FMCG manufacturing technology.

Sector – FMCG Factory Maintenance & Automation Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Controls Engineer · Strong controls/automation experience within an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.

· Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown support in a fast paced industrial factory.

· Proven PLC fault-finding and modification experience.

Requirements for the Controls Engineer · Hands-on electrical and controls fault-finding experience.

· Recognised electrical or controls engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or equivalent).

· Experience working within a manufacturing environment with automated machinery.

· Experience with PLCs such as Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar.

· Understanding of HMI, SCADA and inverter/drive systems.

Desirable Requirements for the Controls Engineer.

· Experience working as a Controls or Maintenance Engineer in the UK.

· Experience leading or supporting continuous improvement and automation projects.
