Empower Talent is recruiting a Controls Engineer for a large food manufacturing site in Glasgow. This is a hands-on role on a live production site - ideal for someone who enjoys being on the factory floor, solving problems, and improving how automated lines actually run. What youll be doing Working with PLC, HMI and SCADA systems across high-speed production lines Fault-finding and improving Rockwell / Allen-Bradley controlled equipment Supporting shift engineers with automation issues and developing their capability Identifying and delivering improvements to reliability, safety and output Supporting commissioning and upgrades to existing machinery Acting as the go-to person on site for more complex controls issues What were looking for Experience in a Controls Engineer or automation-focused role within manufacturing Strong working knowledge of Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs (or similar with willingness to learn) Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment Hands-on approach - someone who enjoys fault finding and improving systems Food/FMCG experience is ideal, but not essential Why this role?
