Conventional machinist/Mechanical Fitter

You will be responsible for: - Conventional turning and milling using manual machinery.

Taking pumps, fans, and gearboxes, repairing them and put them back together as well as equipment The use of conventional machines and other machines to manufacturer new parts Working on small batch parts and taking responsibility of measuring worn or broken parts Manual borer work Producing new parts taking into consideration bearing tolerances and machine threats General bench fitting duties may be some of your responsibility.

On call work one in four General repair of rotating machines, electric motors, pumps and gearboxes would be ideal. xehkeey

To apply you will be: - An experienced manual/conventional machinist/turner (NOT CNC) General mechanical fitter experience Must be available to be on call one week a month which will involve working nights (4.30 pm to 1 am) which will give you time and a third pay and double time pay for weekends and working after 1 am Overtime available subject to workload Experience of repairing rotating machines, electric motors, pumps & gearboxes would be ideal Sound Engineering knowledge and a positive attitude Flexibility, as overtime required often at short notice.
