The Ideal Candidate

Our client is looking for a proactive and commercially aware Conveyancer to take ownership of a varied caseload of residential or commercial property matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth transactions, maintaining compliance, and building strong relationships with clients and third parties.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is confident working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management:

Manage a full caseload of residential or commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion

Handle freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, transfers, and refinancing matters

Legal & Technical Delivery:

Conduct title checks, searches, and enquiries, raising requisitions where necessary

Draft, review, and prepare contracts, transfers, leases, and associated legal documentation

Client & Stakeholder Management:

Act as a key point of contact for clients, estate agents, lenders, surveyors, and other solicitors

Provide clear, timely updates and maintain excellent client care throughout the transaction lifecycle

Compliance & Process Management:

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including AML checks and internal policies

Manage exchange of contracts, completions, and post-completion processes, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry registrations

Organisation & Administration:

Maintain accurate file records and case management systems

Proactively manage deadlines and progress transactions efficiently

Ideal Background & Experience

Essential:

Proven experience in residential or commercial conveyancing

Experience managing a full caseload independently

Strong understanding of property transactions, land law, and conveyancing processes

Excellent communication and organisational skills

High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable:

Licensed Conveyancer, Chartered Legal Executive, or Solicitor

Knowledge of AML regulations, SDLT requirements, and Land Registry procedures

Experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Proactive and able to take ownership of workload

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
