A busy and well-regarded law firm in Huddersfield is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join its thriving residential property team. This is a full-time, office-based role suited to candidates with at least 12 months of hands-on experience in residential conveyancing, particularly in sales and purchase transactions.

In this client-facing position, you'll be working in a fast-paced legal environment, providing vital support to solicitors and fee earners handling a high-volume caseload. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented individual looking to develop their career in conveyancing within a supportive and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Opening new client files and entering details into the case management system

\n
• Drafting standard legal documents such as sale contracts and initial letters

\n
• Ordering searches and assisting with the preparation of client reports

\n
• Managing files in line with firm policies and transaction timelines

\n
• Supporting the exchange and completion process, including post-completion work

\n
• Liaising professionally with clients, estate agents, solicitors and other third parties

\n
• Handling incoming/outgoing post and assisting with billing, filing and general admin

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 12 months' experience in a conveyancing assistant or legal admin role

\n
• Solid understanding of residential property transactions

\n
• Excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail

\n
• Confident verbal and written communication

\n
• Good IT skills and accurate typing ability

\n
• Capable of managing a busy workload and meeting deadlines

• Friendly, professional and committed to outstanding client care

• Able to work independently and within a close-knit team
