The role supports the Chair of the IGU’s Coordination Committee (CC).
This is a contract role with a term from February 2026 to July 2028. This role reports directly to IGU’s Secretary General.
Coordination Committee Administrator Role Accountabilities:
Acts as the Administrator of the Coordination Committee, supporting the Chairman, and serves as the liaison between the Chairs of the 11 Committees and three Intercommittees, and the IGU Secretariat’s functional areas.
Coordinates the work of committees and task forces and promptly monitors their progress and alignment with the 2025-2028 Triennial Work Programme (TWP).
Works with the Chairman of the Coordination Committee to liaise with the World Gas Conference (WGC2028) Executive Director in drafting the WGC technical programme for the conference.
Engages with the IGU Secretariat and Committees to support advocacy initiatives that may require specific technical insights.
In collaboration with the Coordination Committee, organises the Call for Abstracts process, including the submission categories and selection of papers/posters for WGC2028. Supports the organisation and design of the WGC2028 technical and poster sessions.
Responsible for organising all CC meetings (virtual and in-person) and producing minutes from these meetings. Specifically,
Attend the weekly Secretariat staff meetings and, where necessary, provide verbal progress reports.
Attend two to three Coordination Committee meetings per year (in-person/virtual) and produce meeting minutes.
Prepare updates and deliverables against the TWP for the CC Chair for IGU Management Team meetings (2-4 per year).
Attend at least one meeting with each committee/task force before WGC2028 (11 meetings)
Attend meetings with the Executive Director of WGC 2028 to ensure alignment of the technical program.
Role Requirements
Solid experience in the Gas sector, with the ability to communicate in English (the association's official language) both in writing and orally.
Solid knowledge of the workings of committees
Excellent administrative and project management skills
Proficient use of technology tools, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, GAANT
Ability to travel internationally
