Content Strategist & Copywriter, 42 hours per week, Crawley RH10 9QR Salary up to £35,700 depending upon experience
We are looking for an experienced Content Strategist & Copywriter to join our team in our Crawley Offices.
The Content Strategist & Copywriter will develop and deliver a strategic content approach by creating and managing the content roadmap, defining the brand’s tone of voice and messaging framework, and producing compelling, channel-specific copy. Ensure all content supports brand storytelling, engages target audiences, drives conversions, and builds long-term customer loyalty.
Key areas of focus will include:
* Blog and website content
* Email and social campaigns
* SEO copy
* Product storytelling
* Campaign messaging
* Case studies, whitepapers, and ebooks
Within these key areas of focus the key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Content Strategy Development: Develops and defines the content strategy and roadmap, establishing tone of voice, messaging hierarchy, and brand storytelling; to ensure alignment with brand, product, and commercial goals, while executing compelling marketing copy.
* Develop and execute a cohesive content and social media strategy that supports brand growth and engagement across all digital channels.
* Tone of Voice & Messaging: Own and evolve the brand’s tone of voice, ensuring consistency across the group and all channels. Develop messaging hierarchies for campaigns, products, and customer journeys.
* Brand Storytelling: Translate brand values and positioning into engaging narratives that resonate with target audiences across formats and platforms.
* Copywriting: Write high-quality, on-brand copy for a range of channels including website, social, email, packaging, advertising, and printed collateral.
* Campaign & Product Support: Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Product, and E-commerce teams to create campaign messaging and product descriptions that support launch and promotional activity.
* Content Governance: Maintain content guidelines and ensure consistent application across departments, agencies, and touchpoints.
* SEO & Performance Awareness: Apply SEO principles to digital content where applicable, and work with digital teams to optimise messaging based on performance insights.
* Content Planning, Management & Execution
* Own and maintain editorial calendars across blog, website, email, and social channels
* Plan, write, and publish content using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify)
* Collaborate with content, product, and design teams to deliver engaging content in line with brand and campaign goals
* Collaboration & Reporting
* Work closely with the Digital, Creative, and Product teams to ensure consistency and alignment across all content
* Report on content and social media performance, using analytics to refine strategy
To be considered for this role you will have the below demonstrable skills and experience:
* Proven experience in content strategy, brand storytelling, and copywriting
* Strong portfolio demonstrating writing across multiple channels and formats
* Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
* Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content
* Experience working with brand guidelines and tone of voice systems
* Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
* Understanding of SEO, digital marketing, and content performance metrics is a plus
