What You'll Do: As Corporate Counsel, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where no two days are alike. Your role will see you:
Providing comprehensive legal support and guidance on strategically significant projects such as mergers and acquisitions, debt financing, capital markets transactions, and pension matters. Acting as a trusted advisor for group employees and functions by addressing material commercial agreements, advisor engagement letters, employment law issues, data privacy concerns, and dispute resolution. Developing, maintaining, and standardising legal policies and procedures. Serving as the primary legal point of contact for the North America business unit focused on beauty brands, delivering practical legal solutions and managing external counsel relationships in the US and Canada as needed. Overseeing compliance initiatives by ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
What You Bring: To excel as Corporate Counsel, you will bring not only robust technical knowledge but also an empathetic approach that supports effective teamwork across borders. Your background should include:
Qualified solicitor in the UK or another recognised jurisdiction with proven experience handling complex corporate or transactional matters either in-house or at a reputable law firm. Experience advising on international transactions with an understanding of cross-border regulatory requirements and cultural nuances. Experience in emerging markets is highly beneficial. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills enabling you to interact professionally with colleagues at all levels of seniority within a global organisation. Intellectual curiosity combined with a personable approach that fosters trust among stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
