Job Description
We are working with a leading Big 4 organisation to recruit a Tax Assistant Manager for their Corporate Tax Compliance & Advisory team in Scotland.
This role offers excellent development, broad technical exposure, and the chance to work with major UK-listed, PE-backed, inbound, and privately owned businesses. This is an ideal move for a qualified AM at a mid tier or regional firm, or an ambitious qualified tax senior ready to take the leap to a big 4.
Role Overview
You’ll manage a mixed portfolio of clients, deliver UK corporation tax compliance and contribute to a wide range of advisory projects including international tax, restructuring, tax governance and group reporting. You’ll also support senior team members on larger accounts and help develop junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a day‑to‑day contact for corporate tax compliance & advisory matters
Deliver high‑quality UK corporation tax returns
Support advisory projects and technical research
Keep clients updated on emerging tax developments
Coach and review the work of junior team members
Assist with client management, risk procedures and business development
What You’ll Need
CTA or ACA/CA (or equivalent)
Strong UK corporation tax experience
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
Ability to manage competing deadlines and work proactively
Experience supporting or coaching junior staff
Strong compliance grounding with some advisory exposure
