Overview

We are looking for a technically strong and commercially minded Corporate Tax Director who will operate on a clear path to the firm’s Head of Tax role. The successful candidate will take ownership of an established and growing Tax function, contribute to firm‑wide strategy, and play a central role in delivering high‑quality, solutions‑led advice to a diverse and growing client base.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the firm’s Tax function, ensuring consistent and technically robust delivery across client engagements.
• Lead complex client engagements, including corporate tax, R&D, M&A, and Transfer Pricing matters, while maintaining a high degree of autonomy.
• Build and nurture key client relationships, lead commercial proposals, and support the long‑term growth of the firm’s tax offering.
• Mentor junior team members, foster a collaborative high‑performing culture, and support the professional development of team colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified tax professional (ACA, CTA or equivalent).
• Significant experience across a variety of UK Corporate Tax advisory projects.
• Strong understanding of international tax issues, group structuring, and transactional matters.
• Hands‑on experience with R&D, M&A and Transfer Pricing queries.
• Excellent commercial judgement, leadership capability, and a long‑term view of career development.
