Top 100 Accountancy Practice, seeking an experienced and commercially minded Corporate Tax Director to join a high-performing and growing tax team. This is a leadership role offering the opportunity to work with a varied portfolio of clients, provide strategic tax advice, and play a key part in the continued development of the practice.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders while mentoring and developing junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking environment that places strong emphasis on professional growth and client excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, acting as a trusted advisor on a wide range of tax matters
- Leading on complex corporate tax advisory projects, including reorganisations, share schemes, M&A transactions, demergers, and structuring matters
- Reviewing and overseeing the preparation of technical documentation and transaction reports
- Providing clear, practical advice in response to HMRC enquiries and technical queries
- Supporting and developing junior team members through coaching, delegation, and performance management
- Collaborating with senior leadership to identify opportunities for additional services and portfolio growth
- Contributing to business development activities, including proposals, networking, and client onboarding
- Ensuring compliance work is delivered efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on risk management and quality
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Extensive knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and practice
- Strong track record in delivering high-quality tax advisory services
- Commercially aware with the ability to provide pragmatic solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with relevant tax and accounting software
