Summary:

A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Senior Associate or Legal Director to join its London team. The role suits someone with a strong technical grounding, confidence leading transactions, and the ability to contribute to client development and team growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on a broad range of UK and international corporate tax matters, including share and asset acquisitions, group reorganisations, joint ventures, restructurings, and financing transactions.
  • Support corporate, real estate, funds, and financial services teams with tax structuring and transactional planning.
  • Lead on drafting and negotiating tax aspects of transactional documents (SPAs, tax covenants, warranties, structuring papers, etc.).
  • Manage relationships with clients, including private companies, multinationals, investment funds, and financial institutions.
  • Provide thought leadership on evolving tax legislation, HMRC practice, and market trends.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, including pitching, client training, and cross-practice collaboration.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members and support growth of the tax practice.


Required Experience:

  • 5+ PQE gained within a reputable corporate tax team (private practice essential).
  • Strong technical background in UK corporate tax, with exposure to international elements.
  • Experience advising on M&A, private equity, reorganisations, and general corporate transactions.
  • Comfortable running complex matters with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to present technical advice clearly to non-tax specialists.
  • Experience mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development.
  • Interest in business development and long-term client relationship building.
