Corporate Associate – Private Equity Focus (2+ PQE)

London | National Corporate Practice | Market-Leading Deal Flow

A leading UK law firm is looking to appoint a Corporate Associate (2+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Corporate team in London, with a strong emphasis on Private Equity and M&A transactions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious associate to take on real responsibility early, work closely with recognised partners in the market, and play a visible role in a growing and award-winning corporate practice.

The Role

You will be involved in a broad range of private equity and corporate transactions, including:

  • Leading and running mid-market private equity deals and other corporate transactions
  • Working alongside partners on larger, more complex national and cross-office mandates
  • Advising companies, management teams, investors and debt providers across the full business lifecycle
  • Supporting transactions spanning M&A, venture and growth capital, restructurings, capital reductions and exits
  • Playing an active role in client development and business development initiatives
  • Mentoring and supporting junior associates as the team continues to expand

  • Led by partners widely recognised for their technical excellence, market reputation and client relationships
  • Strong focus on private equity, M&A and venture capital, alongside a growing corporate finance / public markets offering
  • Acting for a diverse client base including fast-growth businesses, multinational corporates, private equity houses, venture funds and overseas investors

About You

  • 2+ years’ PQE as a qualified corporate lawyer
  • Strong experience in private equity and M&A transactions
  • Comfortable running transactions with appropriate supervision and managing multiple workstreams
  • Commercially minded, proactive and confident working directly with clients
  • Keen to contribute to business development and the wider growth of the practice
  • A collaborative team player with an interest in mentoring junior colleagues
