We are looking for a Cost Engineer to take ownership of the RFQ costing from start to finish.

We are growing and were looking for a commercially sharp Cost Engineer. If you can turn complex engineering detail into clear, competitive, and confident quotes, this role puts you right at the heart of how we win business.

DUTIES

• Own the full RFQ costing lifecycle from technical review to final submission
• Interpret CAD, drawings, and specs to define scope, routes, and cost drivers
• Develop robust cost models covering tooling, cycle times, and process assumptions
• Collaborate with Engineering and NPI to shape manufacturable, competitive solutions
• Challenge assumptions and ensure feasibility, accuracy, and plant alignment
• Provide commercial insight and cost visibility to support winning strategies

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Experience in cost estimating or cost engineering (automotive or high-volume manufacturing preferred)
• Strong understanding of pressings, welded assemblies, tooling concepts, and manufacturing processes
• Confident reading 2D & 3D CAD drawings and technical specifications
• Analytical, detail-driven, and commercially aware
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and commercial teams
• Able to translate technical data into clear, traceable, decision-ready cost models
