Our client, a leading real estate organisation, is seeking an experienced Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor with a strong MEP background and NEC contract experience. This is a client-facing role, offering responsibility for managing project costs, commercial outcomes, and contract administration on high-profile MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing project costs, budgets, and commercial risks on MEP-focused developments.
* Preparing cost plans, financial reports, and providing value engineering advice.
* Acting as the primary commercial contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and professional representation.
* Administering contracts under NEC terms and providing guidance on contractual matters.
* Collaborating with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful delivery.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor, ideally at CM or Associate level (ACM acceptable with relevant MEP experience).
* Strong technical understanding of MEP systems within real estate projects.
* Experience with NEC contracts and associated commercial practices.
* Background in either consultancy or contracting environments.
* Excellent commercial acumen, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in client-facing situations.
* Ambitious, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of projects.
