Hourly Rate: £11.59
Working Hours: 8:30am 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Duration: Until 13/10/2025
We are seeking an experienced Council Tax Assessment Officer to support the delivery of accurate billing and account management within a busy local authority team.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update Council Tax accounts
Assess and apply discounts, exemptions, and reliefs in line with legislation
Ensure accuracy and compliance in billing procedures
Provide excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders
Use relevant systems to input and maintain data
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in Council Tax assessment and maintenance
Strong working knowledge of Academy and Enterprise systems
Sound understanding of current Council Tax legislation
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage workload effectively
