What you'll do

  • Provide timely, pragmatic counsel grounded in business and regulatory context; frame clear, deliverable options.
  • Translate complex issues into concise guidance; communicate with impact and adapt style to influence outcomes; develop strong networks.
  • Build trusted, early partnerships across the business to shape outcomes and accelerate delivery.
  • Ability to establish and develop relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Anticipate needs using sector insight; prioritize effectively; drive and work efficiently on time-sensitive matters with sound judgment under pressure.
  • Manage legal risk and governance rigorously; identify, elevate, and mitigate key risks; inform colleagues on procedures.
  • Lead through ambiguity and change by clarifying purpose, simplifying complexity, and synthesizing issues for senior forums.
  • Use digital tools and innovation to improve delivery; define clear accountabilities and uphold high ethical standards.

About you

  • Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission in good standing to the Massachusetts bar
  • Experience advising on complex, business‑critical regulatory matters
  • At least 3 years’ energy regulatory experience, preferably in Massachusetts practicing before the Department of Public Utilities, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated track record delivering pragmatic, business‑relevant advice, building cross‑functional relationships, and influencing outcomes at pace.

What's in it for you

Salary between $152,000 p.a. to $180,000 p.a. depending on experience.
