Counsellor Location: Liverpool Salary: £27,000 per annum Vacancy Type: Permanent Closing date: 25 May 2026 About The Role Are you a passionate Counsellor who wants to support people to make real, lasting change? We are looking for a passionate and motivated Counsellor to join the SHARP Programme, working across Rodney Street and Brink Parr Street in Liverpool. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) within a community treatment service supporting adults aged 18+ affected by drug and alcohol use. Working within a community-based day rehabilitation setting, you will help deliver an integrated programme of clinical, psycho-social and wellbeing interventions designed to support lasting recovery and positive life change. You will play an important role in delivering the Forward Trust SHARP programme, which combines the 12-Step recovery model with an ITEP (CBT) approach, supporting clients to engage in structured treatment and make meaningful, transformational progress. What you’ll be doing As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will: * Deliver 1:1 counselling interventions and support daily structured group programmes * Support client assessments, admissions and recovery planning * Help facilitate the SHARP day programme and pre-abstinent services * Support clients with 12-step work and programme assignments * Work closely with Recovery Practitioners and partner agencies * Maintain accurate case records and support care planning processes * Contribute to a safe, positive and recovery-focused environment What we’re looking for We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organised and committed to supporting recovery.
