Milk Education is working with a range of welcoming secondary schools across Leeds who are seeking confident, reliable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to step into the classroom and support pupils across KS3 & KS4.
This role is ideal for graduates, including those in Psychology, Education, Sports, Drama, English, Social Sciences, and related degrees, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain hands-on school experience.
Cover Supervisor roles are a great stepping stone into:
- Teaching
- Pastoral roles
- Behaviour support
- Youth work
- SEN support
- PGCE/Teacher Training pathways
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Manage classroom behaviour using positive strategies
- Support pupils to stay on task and complete set work
- Communicate effectively with pupils to encourage participation
- Report back to teaching staff with feedback on progress and behaviour
- Uphold safeguarding and school behaviour policies
Who Can Apply?
We welcome applicants with:
- A degree OR experience working with young people (schools, sports coaching, youth work, tutoring, mentoring etc.)
- Confidence in leading a classroom
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A calm, positive, and proactive attitude
