We’re working with a range of welcoming secondary schools across Rotherham looking for confident, reliable Cover Supervisors to keep lessons running smoothly when teachers are away. No teaching qualification needed, just strong presence, good energy, and the ability to keep a class on track.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll step into the classroom, deliver pre-set work, and keep things ticking along. Think of yourself as the steady hand in the room.

Supervising whole classes during teacher absence
Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials
Managing behaviour and keeping students focused
Supporting students with their work where needed
Creating a calm, positive classroom environment
No late-night planning. No marking marathons. Just good, solid classroom experience.

You don’t need to be a qualified teacher, but you do need confidence and a calm, can-do attitude.

Experience working with young people (schools, coaching, youth work, tutoring – it all counts)
Strong communication and presence in a classroom
Ability to think on your feet and stay organised

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
