Cover Supervisor – Sheffield

Location: Sheffield Start Date: After May Half Term 2026 Contract: Part-time / Flexible Pay: £110–£120 per day

PK Education are working with secondary schools across Sheffield who are looking for reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to support on a flexible, part-time basis from after May half term.

This role isn’t “easy”, you’re stepping into classrooms, often at short notice, and expected to take control, manage behaviour, and keep students engaged. The work is set, but how the lesson goes is largely down to you. If you can hold a room, stay calm under pressure, and build quick rapport with students, it’s a hugely rewarding role and one of the best ways to gain real classroom experience.

About the Role

You will be covering lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain on task. Every day can be different, different subjects, different classes, and different challenges so adaptability is key.

You’ll need to be confident setting expectations, managing behaviour, and maintaining a positive learning environment, even when situations test you.
