We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Cardiff, supporting schools with day-to-day and short-term cover requirements.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in education, graduates considering a teaching career, or experienced Cover Supervisors seeking flexible work.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring pupils remain on task and classroom behaviour is managed in line with school policies.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise whole classes using pre-set lesson plans

Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

Ensure students stay engaged and complete assigned work

Liaise with teaching staff and school leaders as required

Support the wider school environment when needed

The Ideal Candidate

Experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching, etc.)

Confident classroom presence and strong behaviour management skills

Reliable, adaptable, and professional approach

A genuine interest in education

Previous Cover Supervisor or school experience is desirable but not essential
