Supply Team are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to work within Secondary schools in the Newport area. With a busy Academic year ahead, this position is a great opportunity for anyone interested in working within Education, and ultimately lay the foundations for permanent classroom-based roles in the future.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and confident individual who is passionate about working with pupils of all ages. Whether you have been a Sports Coach, have been involved in Youth Work, spent time in the Armed Forces, taken part in Summer Camps – anything of that nature – you will have the transferable skills required to undertake this post.

What you can expect in the role of a Cover Supervisor:

* Supervising work that has been left for the class and ensuring acceptable behaviour is maintained;

* Ensuring any worksheets / books are collected at the end of a lesson and subsequent setting of homework left by the class Teacher;

* Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person;

* Reporting of any disruptive or escalating behaviour, in line with school policy;

* Ensure that the classroom is left tidy at the end of each lesson;

* Undertake form/lunchtime/break duties including registration cover, as directed.
