Role: Cover Supervisor General CoverOverview: As a General Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes across a range of subjects in a secondary school during teacher absences. You will ensure continuity of learning by delivering pre-set work and maintaining a positive and controlled classroom environment.Key Responsibilities: Supervise lessons across various subjects using pre-prepared materials Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Support students with general questions (not subject-specific teaching) Take attendance and follow school procedures Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards Requirements: Experience working with secondary-aged students. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills Confidence covering a variety of subjects Good communication and organisational skills Ability to adapt quickly and work independently Desirable: Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant Familiarity with UK school systems and policies A degree or relevant education-related qualificationJBRP1_UKTJ
