Are you a reliable, morning-person looking to gain hands-on classroom experience? Randstad Education is currently recruiting for adaptable and confident Cover Supervisors to support a highly regarded secondary school located on Marlborough Hill.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you are the "face of the classroom" during a teacher's absence. You aren't expected to be a subject expert, but you are expected to be a leader who can manage dynamics effectively.

• Early Starts:Must be available for early morning bookings (calls typically from 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM) to ensure full classroom coverage.
• Classroom Management: Facilitate pre-set lessons for students across Key Stages 3 & 4.
• Engagement: Keep pupils on track with their work, providing guidance and clarity where needed.
• Safe Environment: Uphold the school's behaviour policy to ensure a productive atmosphere.
• Administrative Support: Collect completed work and provide brief handover notes for the returning teacher.

Requirements

• Reliability: You must be reachable and ready to travel for early morning requests.
• Presence: A confident, "can-do" attitude and the ability to command a room.
• Experience: A degree (preferred) or significant experience working with groups of young people (11-18).
• Compliance: Eligibility to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or the willingness to apply for one).
