Secondary Cover Supervisor - High-Achieving School in Barrow-in-Furness

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a resilient and engaging Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school in the Barrow-in-Furness area. This is a full-time, long-term position (Monday to Friday) perfect for those looking to build their experience in secondary education or career changers seeking a new challenge.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility is to oversee classes across various subjects during the short-term absence of permanent teachers. You won't be expected to teach the curriculum from scratch; instead, you will:

• Deliver pre-set work left by the department to ensure learning continues.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, maintaining a focused and safe environment.
• Support pupils with their tasks and answer any general queries.
• Ensure the school's behavior policy is followed consistently.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to different subject areas quickly.
