The Opportunity
We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Senior Project Support professional to provide high-level operational, analytical, and project support to our Head of Credit Control for a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a hands-on role where your insight, attention to detail, and ability to translate strategy into action will directly impact our success.
Location: Based at our HQ in Salford/ Hybrid / open to Remote role for the right candidate
What You'll Do:
Support to Head of Credit Control
Act as the primary support, managing priorities, follow-ups, and actions.
Prepare management information, reports, and presentations.
Assist in resolving complex accounts, disputes, and high-risk debt.
Ensure continuity of service and strong communication with senior stakeholders.
Project & Change Support
Support credit control projects including process improvements, system implementations, and policy updates.
Maintain project plans, timelines, risk logs, and status reports.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and standardisation across the business.
Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and documentation of controls.
Develop and roll out training materials for credit controllers and wider teams.
Operational & Reporting Support
Analyse key reports, including debtor days, aged debt, and cash forecasting.
Identify trends and risks to improve cash collection and reduce bad debt.
Support board-level reporting and presentations.
Assist with credit limit reviews and new client credit checks.
Team & Stakeholder Support
Work closely with the Credit Manager to provide structure, prioritisation, and guidance.
Support workload planning, performance monitoring, and escalation management.
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members.
Build strong relationships with Sales, Payroll, Finance, and other internal teams.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Strong background in Credit Control or Finance within recruitment or a high-volume invoice environment.
Deep understanding of credit control principles, billing cycles, and cash flow management.
Experience supporting change or improvement projects.
Advanced Excel and strong data analysis skills.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders.
Desirable:
Experience supporting system implementations or finance transformation projects.
Experience in multi-brand or multi-site organisations.
Personal Attributes:
Proactive, solutions-focused, and commercially minded.
High attention to detail with strong ownership and accountability.
Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity.
Professional and discreet, with strong confidentiality skills.
