Ansell Lighting is a byword for innovation in lighting design and we have won multiple awards for our energy-efficient luminaires and industry-leading lighting control system, Octo.Key Responsibilities of the Role:DELIVERYOversee a specific portion of the debt ledger for one or more companies.Monitor and manage debtor accounts to ensure timely payments.Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and lettersLiaise with sales to ensure smooth running of customer accountsMonitor credit limitsAssist in month-end closure processProvide cover for colleagues as needed (Sick/Holiday)Implementing changes within company’s credit control systemCollaborate cross-functionally to enhance the customer experience and drive excellenceQUALITYBuild strong relationships with customersStrong attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft ExcelAlways be polite & professionalAssist management team with ad hoc requestsCOSTTaking responsibility for debt collectionUpdating weekly debtor reportSAFETYContribution to the creation and maintenance of a safe working environment.Support the Operations Manager in adherence to Health and Safety Regulations at all levels regarding the accounts Office.PEOPLE MANAGEMENTEstablish and maintain positive relationships with people at all levels, ensuring regular communication with Credit managerConfident approach to debt collection in a determined but polite mannerTo provide a happy working environment and everyone is aware of their roles.Other Company employees – daily contact with Warehouse, returns and sales staff and managers, highlighting problems and identifying actions to solve / prevent problems.Customers/External Contacts – frequent- in a friendly and professional mannerAre you right for us?Our Credit Control Specialist will have/be:1+ years experience within credit control functionExperience of managing time effectivelyGood written and verbal communication skillsComputer-literate, being fully conversant with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.Able to work independently as well as within a team environmentAble to operate confidently and communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in a written formProfessional in approach, and able to lead by example, acting with tact and diplomacyGood organisational skillsAnd now for the Good Stuff:We are all about our customer experience and we are committed to our people.
