Your new role Make a real impact in a high‑performing, people‑focused organisation. As part of this firms continued expansion, they're looking for a confident, proactive Credit Controller to join their Bristol office.

The Role

Working within our established credit management team, you'll take ownership of an assigned ledger and be responsible for effective cash collection across a diverse client base. You'll build strong internal and external relationships, contribute to monthly reporting, and play a key role in maintaining healthy cashflow.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve and exceed monthly cash collection targets
Manage a portfolio of internal and external clients
Build and maintain strong professional relationships
Follow up on unidentified payments and resolve invoice queries
Contact clients to confirm invoice receipt and payment dates
Maintain accurate communication records using our credit management system
Reconcile accounts where required
Escalate potential debtor issues early to the Credit Manager
Meet with internal stakeholders to review aged debt and discuss concerns
Deliver an exceptional, client‑focused debt recovery service
Support with daily credit control letters and statements
Reduce exposure to bad debt while maintaining client satisfaction
Comply with internal procedures and contribute to wider finance team goals
What you'll need to succeed

Strong prioritisation skills with a focus on maximising cash collection
Good understanding of money laundering requirements and regulatory environments
Confident communicator with a professional, assured approach
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to build effective relationships with partners, fee earners and support teams
Highly organised, detail‑driven and able to work independently
A collaborative team player with excellent time management
