Credit Controller Location: BoltonDepartment: Credit Control – Premex Services LtdHours: 37.5 hours per weekReporting to: PSL Credit Control Manager This role is open to candidates with prior experience, and would be a great step up for someone wanting to gain more experience. Join Our Team as a Credit Controller Premex Services Ltd is looking for a proactive and detail-focused Credit Controller to join our dedicated Credit Control team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is customer-service driven, organised, and confident communicating at all levels. As a Credit Controller, you’ll play a key role in maximising cash collections, managing your own portfolio of solicitor and insurer accounts, and ensuring invoices are followed up promptly and effectively. Key Responsibilities
Liaise with internal teams and external solicitors/insurance companies via phone, email, and written communication. Manage your own profile of accounts, proactively chasing debt and resolving queries or complaints. Ensure manual statements are issued on the first working day of each month where required. Follow the established team chase timetable. Complete administrative tasks including paperwork handling, data recording, spreadsheets, and general reporting. Maintain exceptional customer service standards. Manage emails relating to solicitor account changes, inactive account investigations, and solicitor contracts. Create and distribute weekly MI and reports. Support new team members as needed. Maintain SLAs within the Credit Control Sol Mailbox. Create new Sage accounts and branch IDs for customers. Process contractual agreements, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and to deadline. Assist senior management and the wider team when required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Previous Credit Control experience (preferred but not essential). Strong communication skills, with confidence interacting at all levels. A high-quality, customer-first approach. Experience in administrative tasks, data recording, and filing. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think innovatively. Telephone experience and confidence handling queries. Computer literacy including Excel and Word (Sage experience beneficial but not essential). Experience working in an office environment.
