We are looking for a qualified duty solicitor who can undertake work in the police station and Magistrates Court along with the preparation of cases in the Crown Court.Key Responsibilities:Deliver the best possible outcomes for clients by providing accurate advice and taking clear, precise instructions.Collaborate with the team to represent clients effectively throughout all stages of the criminal justice process.Adhere to the standards and procedures outlined in the Quality Manual and Criminal Contract.Participate in the out-of-hours rota for court and police station coverage as required£40,000-£42,000 DOEThe individualWe are looking for someone who is:Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive.35 years post-qualification experience (PQE).Full, clean driving licence.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.Strong client care skills and a professional approach.Proven advocacy experience in the Magistrates Court.Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and collaboration.Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for business growth.Capability to develop and manage a personal caseload.Strong team player with a positive and proactive attitude.Experience working to defined targets and deadlines.Skilled in managing a high-volume, varied workload.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Working with Certain AdvantageWe go the extra mile to find the best people for the job.
