Customer Relations Assistant (FTC, Part-Time / Job Share)

Hours: 21 hours per week

Working Pattern:
This is a part-time job share role (3 days per week, days to be confirmed). Mondays are required for both job share partners. Minimum 2 days per week in the office, with hybrid working available after probation.

Overview

This role sits within a national retail support function, providing marketing and operational support services to a network of independent retailers across the UK. The organisation delivers central customer, marketing, and buying support across a regional structure.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering a high level of customer service across multiple channels including phone, email, online platforms, and social media. You’ll handle customer queries and complaints professionally, working closely with regional partners and internal teams to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage customer queries and complaints through to resolution

* Communicate effectively with internal teams and external regional partners

* Record, monitor, and escalate issues where appropriate

* Use customer service platforms (including Zendesk) to manage cases

* Support reporting and analysis of customer interactions

* Assist in handling product quality or technical complaints

* Maintain strong relationships with external agencies and service providers

* Ensure all responses are timely, accurate, and professional

About You

* At least 1 year’s experience in a customer service or office-based role

* Strong communication skills with a professional and empathetic approach

* Confident working across multiple systems and communication channels

* Good IT skills and quick to learn new software

* Experience using Zendesk or similar systems (desirable)
