Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Preston, our client ILIV has grown into a dynamic, private company specialising in the design and distribution of fabrics for residential and commercial spaces. With a dedicated team of 100 people, ILIV combines rich heritage with a forward-thinking approach, supporting designers and retailers across the UK and beyond. They are now looking for a pro-active team player to join their busy Customer Services Team.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the purpose of this role is to ensure all customer needs are met promptly and accurately. You’ll be the first point of contact for both internal and external customers, handling around 50 calls a day alongside email enquiries. You’ll manage the end-to-end order process, from sales order entry and stock allocation to resolving issues and updating customers on delivery times. You’ll also coordinate sampling orders, process web sales, arrange returns, and work closely with our sales, quality control, warehouse, and purchasing teams to ensure a smooth and efficient service. You’ll contribute positively to team discussions and shared decision-making, ensuring clear and timely communication that keeps the customer at the heart of every decision. Acting as an ambassador for the organisation, you’ll maintain effective internal and external relationships and produce clear, consistent written documentation when required.

To be successful in the role you will need strong communication and interpersonal skills (both written & verbal), be highly organised, and a self-starter who is confident and enthusiastic. Our client is looking for someone who can naturally develop relationships with clients and colleagues, has the ability to work on their own initiative and to record information in a concise, accurate and legible manner, who is a positive, energetic team player. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential and experience in the textiles industry is a plus. ILIV are proud to be a people company, where teamwork and mutual support are fundamental to the success of the business. If you’re organised, solution-driven, with a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences, and being part of a close-knit team, we’d love to hear from you.
