Customer Service Representative
Customer Enquiries | Public Sector | Glasgow
Salary: £25,000–£28,000
Location: Glasgow
Contract Type: Temporary role
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 1 day per week in the office
Start Date: Early to mid January
The role
We’re recruiting Customer Service Representative to join a busy public-facing enquiries team supporting consumers across energy efficiency and government-backed schemes.
You’ll be the first point of contact for members of the public, handling enquiries by phone and email, responding clearly, logging accurate case notes, and ensuring each query is progressed correctly. This is a fast-paced, structured environment where good communication, organisation, and judgement matter.

Handling public enquiries via phone and email Responding to non-complex complaints and requests Logging accurate case notes and maintaining clear records Liaising with internal teams to resolve queries efficiently Supporting colleagues and contributing to team KPIs Helping maintain a consistent, high-quality customer experience
What we’re looking for
Essential:
Experience in a customer-focused role Clear, confident written and verbal communication Ability to organise and prioritise a changing workload Comfortable working to targets and service standards Strong attention to detail Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Desirable:
Experience handling enquiries or complaints Exposure to a regulated or public-facing environment Background in customer service, hospitality, contact centres, utilities, benefits, or public services
