Lhoist are a successful, international Belgium company that has several sites in the UK. As a manufacturer of high-quality lime and dolomitic lime products we deliver to a widening worldwide market.

The role is split into 2 parts: Customer Technical Support and Mechanical Fitter, Hindlow plant.

Were looking for a versatile individual to join our team in this dual role:

Customer Technical Support (CTS) providing technical services and managing trials of our products at customer sites.

Mechanical Fitter supporting maintenance and repair operations at our Hindlow plant.

Customer Technical Support Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Other duties may be assigned)

Reporting to the UK Commercial Manager, liaison with the Market Managers for trial purposes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain trial equipment at our Hindlow facility.

Coordinate and install equipment at customer sites, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Deliver training and troubleshooting support to customers.

Monitor trial performance, collect data, and provide technical documentation.

Travel and occasional overnight stays required.


Mechanical Fitter Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Manager based in Hindlow.

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing mechanical systems and equipment at the Buxton site to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems and equipment at the Hindlow plant.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Diagnose faults, perform installations, and support shutdowns and overhauls.
  • Collaborate with other teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (desirable).

Strong mechanical and technical skills; electrical knowledge an advantage.

Experience in process engineering or maintenance within manufacturing.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.

Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
