Impactive are thrilled to be partnering once again with a dynamic, fast-growing Leeds-based organisation, now on the hunt for a brilliant Data Analytics Manager to lead a talented team of 2-3 data practitioners, shape high-impact insights, and play a pivotal role during an exciting, and ambitious phase of growth.
The type of person:
We’re looking for a hands-on manager who combines technical expertise with the ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team on a day-to-day basis. You’ll need to be confident managing both internal team members and external stakeholders - and just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get into the data yourself.
You will have:
- 5+ years’ experience in data analytics with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights.
- Proven line management experience (in any form) - managing, coaching, or developing a team of 2–3 people (minimum).
- Experience leading and mentoring analysts, data scientists, or BI developers.
- Strong technical skills in SQL and Python.
- Demonstrated ability to turn complex datasets into actionable, strategic recommendations.
- A track record of working in client-facing roles, ideally in a consultancy or project-based environment.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, managing multiple priorities at once.
The role:
As Data Analytics Manager, you’ll be both a leader and a doer:
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of 2–3 data analysts, ensuring their growth, performance, and engagement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key client stakeholders, building strong, trusted relationships.
- Partner with clients to understand their business challenges, objectives, and analytical requirements.
- Get hands-on when needed - from deep data dives to code reviews.
- Oversee the quality, timeliness, and impact of the team’s deliverables.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies that drive business performance.
- Champion knowledge-sharing, best practices, and continuous learning within your team.
- Collaborate closely with other teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Desired skills & experience:
- Strong coding skills in Python and SQL, with solid MS Excel capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - able to adapt communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with a proactive approach to validating work and setting high standards.
- Ability to break down complex client needs into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Prior experience of working with customer data
