\n\n Data Platform Architect - Contract (6 Months) \nRate: (Outside IR35) Hybrid \n Overview \n

A leading consultancy is seeking a Data Platform Architect to design and deliver modern, cloud- data, analytics and AI platforms. You will work across the full data value chain, shaping scalable, secure and sustainable solutions for a range of clients.

\n

This role suits an experienced architect who enjoys advising stakeholders, leading small teams or workstreams, and remaining actively involved in hands‑on delivery.

\n Key Responsibilities \n

\n Architect end‑to‑end cloud data, analytics and AI platforms.

\n

Design solutions that integrate batch and real-time processing.

\n

Establish robust data management, governance and lifecycle approaches.

\n

Guide clients on modern analytics, Machine Learning, Generative AI and Large Model adoption.

\n

Lead small implementation teams or workstreams through design and delivery.

\n

Shape best practices around CI/CD, cloud infrastructure and platform engineering.

\n

Provide architectural oversight to ensure scalable, secure and well‑engineered solutions.

\n

\n Skills and Experience Required \n

\n 5+ years' experience in data, analytics and AI solution design and delivery.

\n

Strong background in cloud-centric architectures (Azure, AWS or GCP).

\n

Proven experience in designing data platforms and modern analytics ecosystems.

\n

Understanding of data lifecycle, data management and governance principles.

\n

Knowledge of Machine Learning, Data Mining, Generative AI and LLMs in enterprise settings.

\n

Experience leading small teams or workstreams.

\n

Good understanding of CI/CD and modern infrastructure delivery practices.

\n

Experience in public sector or regulated industries (e.g. government, healthcare) is desirable.
