Global Data Programme Manager - London - Hybrid

I am currently working with a client who is seeking an experienced Global Data Programme Manager to lead strategic data initiatives and deliver enterprise-wide transformation.

This is a senior leadership role with accountability for the delivery of data change across central and local technology functions. You will oversee complex programmes, manage cross-functional dependencies, and line manage Product Owners and managers, ensuring delivery of measurable business value aligned to the Group Data Strategy.

What you’ll be doing

Lead and deliver large-scale data transformation, translating strategy into clear delivery plans and outcomes. Own the Group Data portfolio, maintaining the overall roadmap and ensuring successful delivery across multiple programmes. Line manage and develop Product Owners and managers, driving high-quality, value-led delivery. Oversee programme plans, resource allocation, milestones, risks and dependencies across a matrix organisation. Track and report progress against OKRs and KPIs, providing clear updates to senior stakeholders. Own and prioritise the unified data product backlog, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and business value. Build strong stakeholder relationships, facilitating alignment and resolving complex, cross-functional challenges.

Extensive experience leading strategic data programmes and transformation in complex organisations. Strong portfolio and programme governance experience within a matrix delivery environment. Proven leadership experience, including line management of Product Owners or managers. Confident managing stakeholders, priorities and delivery across multiple technology functions. Strong data- and customer-centric mindset, with experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Nice to have

Insurance industry experience. Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar.
